This is basically a story of my first “professional” wedding I’ve ever photographed.
As a designer I’ve always been interested in photography and when I got a hold of my first SLR two years ago I was in love. Throughout that time I’ve always been approached to do a wedding once in awhile but I would always decline because I never believed that I was up to that level of photography. Also being trusted with such responsibility of capturing one of their most important days of their lives kinda scared me.

One of my current projects that just launched from R/GA. The newly launched Livestrong and it’s amazing. I actually loved working on this project since I got to work with some outstanding programmers and flash developers. The people there are amazing. I swear I still have that amazing feeling about designing a website on photoshop and seeing it fully functional online just amazes me. The people on this project was just an A team I swear. My friends from Deep Foundation just release their third music video “Sleep“. Deep Foundation has been around for quite some time and I’ve always been a fan of their work. Especially with mainstream hip-hop coming out with music like “Superman” or “Lip Gloss” it’s always nice to see a group of individuals pumping out some good work that break the typical cliche of what Hip Hop is. These have to be one of the most chillest people I’ve worked with and all around great guys. They work hard to achieve what they love and are one of the few among the people on my buddy list that are still on past midnight working hard. Just got done editing and the beautiful and the talented Bridget Hermano’s Photoshoot. “whew” Now I just got to get them approved and if they like it I’m good. Now time to go through 2,500 wedding photos and it’s 2am. So stay tuned for some photos from my first wedding shoot cause that was one hell of an experience. The funny thing is I have another one next month. Eeps wish me luck!
Dont worry I have some design work coming up pretty soon so whenever that’s finished with I’ll be ready with a case study.
Since I got my new Canon 35mm 1.4L Lens I decided to take it out for a day and make my first experimental series. Just a photojournalistic style of photography of what my day is like as a 24 year old designer working in one of the biggest and best city in the world. Hope you enoy ^_^.

Continuing my weekday project it was time to do another day of the week. Mondays are one of the slowest days of the week. It feels like every Monday time decides to slow down and every minute is an hour every hour is a day. “yawn”…So the poster is titled “Never ending Monday” because of what seems to be a endless tiring day. The typography was put on a paper texture to emulate those calenders that display the day and the time of the week on a single sheet. Hope you guys like!!

This weekend i got hired to do an illustration for a tea packaging concept that had a quick turn around time of 5 days. I had so many other freelance gigs to take care of that i had to finish this quickly but also maintaining a high quality of work. Ended up doing an overnighter for this one since i have a full time job. I put my 9 hours on this project from concept to illustration and it turned out pretty sharp.
For this project i was given the color palate as well as the style with instructions to incorporate water and tea leaves. The style itself was hard because first i’m not really an illustrator type of person and second it’s not my style. Slowly but surely i got the hang of it. This was completely done on Photoshop CS3 on a Macbook Pro. I’m better at photoshop than illustrator so don’t judge me hahaha.
This also got me wanting to invest in a new desktop. Working on laptops are a pain, so i say Mac Pro you shall be mine this summer. Wahooo.
