As I designer I tend to give myself some time to play. After my work goes through rigorous reviews I sometimes can’t claim it as mine hence the purpose of my weekday poster project to have something where I can fully claim.(thank you for all the submissions by the way keep em coming!) The funny thing is the most popular projects on my portfolio that circulate are often my personal projects.
So with that said I’d like to happily announce I’m a new contributer for typcut.com, a popular design experimental blog that’s owned by the famous Norik himself. To celebrate I’ll be starting 2 new ongoing projects aside from the weekday posters. One is a set of abstract geometric posters that I’m planning to keep continuing as well as another type project that I’ll announce in the future. So for now enjoy my new fresh experimental posters that will soon be available as a wallpaper when my portfolio is updated so stay tuned!

wednesday’s are one of those days you sit back and just smile at yourself cause the week is halfway done. It reminds me of when people say the glass is half empty or half full.
this poster pretty much represents 3 steps each signifying how many workdays i’ve just been through. As well as a time glass i use to play with as a kid to pass the time. I was always entranced with time glasses for some reason…. Man I’m wierd. haha

Amber Music is one of the preeminent music production companies in the world, with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Founded in 1993 by Michelle Curran, Amber’s composers and sound designers have consistently produced award wining work for a range of global clients, most recently receiving a Gold Lion at Cannes for Best Use of Music in 2008, and the only Gold Clio that was awarded in the Music category in 2009.
Last year I was asked to rebrand Amber Music’s whole identity. From business cards to websites everything was redone. From the start it was a little intimidating since I was dealing with a brand that has been doing commercials for Absolute Vodka, BMW, Taco Bell, ect. In the end I had to just suck it up and just be confident.
The final logo was based on how music is interpreted through a sound recorder. One continuos line from the begining to the end. The logo was hand rendered with my own handwriting and I must say was a challenge itself. Refining the logos shapes and curves took me hours. Making sure the lines flow from one end to another while maintaing it’s balance. The red sun icon derives from their old logo to make direct ties with the old to the new.More after the jump

Another weekday…It’s been awhile since I’ve touched this project and still collecting. Tuesday was particularly hard though because in all reality….. what do you think of when tuesday comes to mind? Nothing. Tuesday is one of those days in the week that tend to just disappear from your memory and later have no recollection of remembering what you did that whole day.For this poster I was more inspired with a childhood memory of what use to scare me when me and my friends would play in the woods. It’s those insects have the ability to camouflage themselves within the trees. That’s what Tuesday’s are… They’re days in the work week that you put in the back of your head and noone remembers till Friday. Then it scares the shit out of you cause you totally forgot to do something important… shit….
